OK guys, PlatinumPopup 1.6.1 has been released, and the rich text editor has been fixed!
Check the "Info and News" section in the right sidebar of your popup settings page for details (just click "Add New").

I understand, but for the "newsletter submission kind of thing" you would have to have an autoresponder service or some software that collects the email addresses and sends your newsletters. All of that functionality you won"t find in any popup plugin

LOL… dunno about being a master! Wish I was though… hehe
As for people submitting their emails, do you mean as for list building? Do you use an autoresponder service? If you do, you need to create an opt-in form for your list using the form function in your autoresponder service"s website. Then you copy the code (the HTML code, not JavaScript) and paste it in the HTML of your popup content where you want the form to appear.
Once again, if you notice the page people are redirected to after submitting wants to load inside the popup, edit the HTML of the form and add target="_top" to the FORM tag (unless you WANT that page to load inside the popup, that is…).
Best regards,
Phil

Hi Emmanuel,
Well of course you could put a link anywhere in your popup content that redirects to the desired page. If your entire popup is an image, then you just add the page link to the image, and that should work.
If you notice that the new page wants to load INSIDE the popup, then just edit the HTML of the content and add target="_top" to the link URL.
Best,
Phil

Hi! No problem! Take your time! Must say the plugin is really cool, covers all my needs and even more! Except that issue with the text editor. I enjoy using it! Thanks for the swift reply Phil!

My friend it worked like a charm but is there a way I can make my popups linkable to other sites or pages?

Hi Andy,
Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience! We"re trying our best to expedite the fix, but apparently it"s not as simple as we originally thought. I"m quite sure it will be available very soon though.
Best regards,
Phil

Hi! Just bought PlatinumPopup plugin. Everything works fine except one thing, the text editor. There"s no buttons or any other options, "visual/HTML" tabs partly hided behind the text field which has wrong shape and size, they"re not active as well. No availability to insert an object/picture. I red the posts here and understood the problem. Looking forward for the updated version! (I"m using WordPress 3.3.1)

Well, the text editor that normally shows in the PlatinumPopup settings page is the WordPress text editor – the exact same one you use to create pages and posts.
So what you can do is to create a new page in WordPress (but you don"t include it in your menu). You do on that page exactly what you would have done in the PlatinumPopup text editor (image, text etc.).
Then you save and exit the page to check your list of pages. There you find the ID of the page you just created (hover over the page list item and check the ID in your browser"s status bar at the bottom, or you could install this plugin first: http://wordpress.org/extend/pl…..-show-ids/).
Then you go to Add New Popup, select "Display a WP Page or Post" under "Popup Content Source," and enter that page ID in the text box next to that option.
Then you continue with your popup"s settings and test and tweak until it looks the way you want it. I suggest having the page editor open at the same time, so you could make changes there as well if needed. It will be just like using PlatinumPopup"s own editor.

I apologize Emmanuel, but you won"t be able to use the editor at all for now. The only thing I could suggest is to create a WordPress page to look exactly like you want your popup to look, and then use the page as the source for your popup. It should work just great!

So what do I do in the mean time? Yeah the other features work but I need to upload an image to the editor box! What do I do wait?

Thanks for the login details, Emmanuel.
I see you"re running WordPress 3.3.1… unfortunately PlatinumPopup does not yet support WP 3.3+. We are currently in the process of updating the plugin for that purpose, and hope to release it soon!
That is the reason for the editor not working. The other content source options work normally though.

Hi Emmanuel,
In the space of 10 minutes you sent us two support tickets as well as this forum post, so I am guessing it"s pretty urgent!
I"ll continue the discussion here and close the two support tickets.
I will be happy to look "under the hood" for you, if you could send me your login details. Unfortunately something"s up with the forum"s PM system, so please send the details to support@platinumplugins.com.
Best regards,
Phil
